Massdrop x Intern Series 1: Pockets & Packets
With innovative designs that blend technical materials, a streetwear aesthetic, and a no-to-low-waste policy, the Techwear Intern is taking the fashion industry to school. A student of fashion design based in Vancouver, Canada, he gained a massive following in February 2018 when he designed, patterned, and sewed an entirely new product every day for 30 days straight—and documented the whole process. He created duffel bags and backpacks with highly modular adaptability, the world’s lightest waterproof jacket, and more. Now, he continues to make some of the most exciting gear out there.\nSince the challenge, the Intern has been busy working alongside our team at Massdrop, iterating the designs he revealed only months ago. Together, we've worked out the bugs, refined the designs, and further reduced manufacturing waste. The result: an incredible ecosystem of intercompatible products called the *Modular Adaptive Carry Standard (MACS).* Made of lightweight, waterproof, and super-durable X-Pac fabric, each bag stands alone as a daily essential for anyone who wants a more organized carry. When combined with the rest of the MACS system, the possibilities are endless.
