Aquacy Hei Matau 1769 300M Automatic Dive Watch

$299 $599

The Aquacy Hei Matau timepiece is backed by rich materials and an even richer history. Called the Hei Matau in honor of the Maori people of New Zealand, it’s built for the rigors of fishermen and businessmen alike. The 1769 moniker refers to explorer James Cook’s voyage of the same year, in which he discovered New Zealand. (It’s even written on the dial in the same font Cook used on his map.) Thanks to a Miyota 9015 automatic movement, the watch has a power reserve of 42 hours. To protect the movement, there’s a stainless steel case and sapphire crystal, contributing to a water resistance of 300 meters. For divers, there’s a helium escape valve and a unidirectional rotating bezel, too.
